New Town Sign Unveiled in Etchinghill

Charlier Construction Ltd were in attendance when the new town sign was unveiled in the centre of Etchinghill. On a sunny evening, a crowd of approximately seventy people turned out to witness the culmination of two years work on the part of the town committee. The intricate design, with the aim of capturing the essence of Etchinghill, incorporates a golfer, walkers walking and a horse rider riding. Even the 16th Century pub makes appearance along with BT communication mast!

Charlier Construction Ltd donated the necessary labour and plant to install the substantial oak post on which the sign now sits.

Having recently completed two spacious family homes not one hundred metres down Teddars Leas Road, the sign sits on the intersection with the main road through the village. We felt it was of great benefit to the area particularly maintaining and promoting the community atmosphere that makes the village so popular.
